Spring and Summer

I can't believe it has been 6 months! We had a very nice spring here in Tallahassee...while preparing for a busy summer!
Aiston turned 2 in May and had a great time celebrating. It started with him opening presents on his real Birthday at home with just the three of us. Lolli and Pop got him a playset for outside with two slides! Grandma and "Goompa" got him an adorable table and chairs that is just perfect for him to eat and play at. He loves watching daddy mow the lawn and always wants to push it so we got him his very own lawn mower...and he LOVES it! He pushes it back and forth in the living room and chases poor Sadie with it. It's hilarious.

Check out his new big boy potty seat! And yes David...he does climb up there without a step ladder, then flush and wash his hands when he is finished...all by himself! ;)

The next weekend we had a big party in Jax with family. It was a great time and we even had a bounce house... but Aiston loved the squirt guns the best!

Right after Aiston's Birthday party, Eric and I headed off to Bahamas for a 5-day vacation...just the two of us! It was soooo relaxing and much needed! The hotel was great and the beach was beautiful.

Two weeks after we returned we celebrated Liza and Brian's wedding! I didn't get many pictures of the weekend, but it was such a wonderful time with family. We soaked up some sun at the pool and beach and then enjoyed an amazing dinner at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club. Ace looked so cute in his tie!

Next was 4th of July! We got to hang out with the Hathaways and with the Ferrelles at their beach house and then get some dinner at Al's. It was so fun to get the boys together and see how everyone had grown (referring to the little boys of course... ;). This is my favorite! The dads coaching the boys on how to play bocce. Looks like Cohen is winning...

Dinner at Al's.... Cohen was trying to make conversation and Ace was just not have'n it. Poor Cohen.

On the 4th we had dinner at Mom and Dads and Ace spent the afternoon in the garage playing with Pop's tools. Here's him telling daddy how to "fix" the bike.

Needless to say, at the end of the weekend... Ace was spent!

We finally got to meet baby Boaz! We met up with him at the Town Center on our way out.  He is so cute and his parents are so excited to finally have him here in on the outside world!

Hope everyone is doing great! Stay tuned for more updates!

The Holidays

Life is rolling right along and we are already wrapping up the first month of 2010.

First, I must say thank you to everyone for the beautiful Christmas cards that now adorn our refridgerator. It is so fun to see how babies and families have grown! I also want to apologize to any of you who might still be wondering what you have done to offend us and negate your name from our Christmas card list. Turns out… nothing… we are just lazy procrastinators. :) So here is our belated Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and early Happy Valentines Day card… digital style!

Stacy Ferris, an amazing photographer here in Tallahassee, snapped some beautiful pics of Aiston, and our family..so I had to show them off!

We took almost a week off for Christmas to spend time with family in Jacksonville…and what a lovely time it was! Aiston got to spend time with his cousin Skylar and Aunt Liza and “Mr. Brian,” Liza’s fiancĂ©, as he has now become fondly known as.

We had to keep reminding Ace it was Jesus’ birthday – not his. Not sure if he got the message…but a parent can hope right? He was much more into the festivities this year though…which made it fun for all of us. To be on the other side of things as the parent certainly brought another element to Christmas. Watching an under-the-weather “Santa” in the garage at 11:45pm, putting together a cheap bicycle, while his father-in-law “supervised” was quite entertaining. But then seeing your son’s groggy eyes light up as he sees that bike under the tree…. well….yes, priceless.

We returned to Jacksonville a few days later for New Year’s and the FSU game. Eric’s parents watched Aiston for us New Year’s Eve and we were able to have some adult time! Clay and Tracy hosted a WONDERFUL meal and even let us crash at their beautiful home for the night! Eric went to the game the next day and I spent a lovely afternoon with some girlfriends.

It was a fun, relaxing and memorable holiday, followed by Eric’s 31st birthday! Now we are adjusting to real life and dreaming of our next vacation on a beach, somewhere warm!
