Merry Christmas!

Sorry it has been so long since I've updated! We've been very busy these last few months. Thanksgiving was very nice in Jax (apart from my parents being away) and we were able to relax and enjoy friends and family. When we returned we packed up our house and moved to a new home! It was all a whirlwind and we are finally getting settled into our new neighborhood in "Goose Creek". It is soooo quiet and we love it! God has truly blessed us. We have plenty of room for Aiston to crawl around... which he should be doing very soon! He is sitting up on his own now. He also has his two front bottom teeth...just in time for Christmas. He's growing so fast!

Christmas was so much fun this year with Aiston! I think he really enjoyed himself. :) We enjoyed spoiling him anyways. It's always fun to see the grandparents. The weather was a little warm...but beautiful! We actually got to go to the beach a couple days! I'm sad it had already come and gone...but am excited for what the new year will bring!

Trick or Treat!

Aiston's first Halloween! I have never been a big fan of the holiday....but it is now a whole new experience with a child. Even though he is oblivious to what is going on - it is so much fun for me! It's like being a little girl again and dressing up a baby doll. Poor kid.... Although he didn't seem to mind his costume too much. It kept him warm and allowed him to sit up due to all the padding!

Pumpkin

Ace had his first experience picking out a pumpkin this last weekend. It wasn't quite the experience we had hoped for...seeing as it started to rain as soon as we got there. We did manage to snap a few pictures though. As you can tell....Daddy thouroughly enjoyed it. ;) Don't worry...next blog will be his costume pics!

4 months old!

The days seem to be flying by.... Already it is the end of September and Ace is 4 months old! He continues to grow and develop into a mischievous little boy. He is able to bring things to his mouth and successfully drench whatever it is with drool...as if to mark his territory. I think we are officially at the teething stage. He is talking more every day and discovering ceiling fans, lights, and the TV. Yes, he loves the cooking channel... I swear I'm not trying to brainwash him into being the chef of the family! ;)
We were able to spend a long weekend in Jax a couple weeks ago and visit with family and friends. It was so nice and relaxing. Ace got some quality bonding time with "Lolli and Pop" and "GG and DD". What a great blessing our family is. Of coarse, Ace didn't leave a pair of hands the whole time...and we suffered the consequences the next few days! ;) Oh well....I guess that's what to expect when he goes to Grandma's house!

Football Season!

So it begins....
Football season is upon us. With 2 home games under our belt we are becoming pros at getting all our "equipment" loaded up and making an appearance at Katie and Jason's tailgates. It is a bit of a different experience now with a newborn in tow! But I must say - Ace is quite the trooper! Of course it helps that he is being held the whole time. And I think he is getting use to hearing the periodic "Look, a Seminole baby!" from the always "enthusiastic" students passing by. The best part is showing off his new game-day apparel! ;)

Ace gett'n to know the ladies! (Rian and Tracy)

And then of course there's Sunday football. Ace is getting pretty comfy watching the games on the couch with Dad. And mommy likes the idea that he seems to be entertained for a few hours and she can get her Sunday afternoon nap! I guess there are some good things about football....

Shhh....I'm watch'n the game with Dad!

Go Jags!

Labor Day

This weekend, in honor of Labor Day we had a wonderful, relaxing day at our friends Marty and Amy's house. They have a lovely home (and pool) and we did a good 'ol American style cookout! Ace got to take his first dip in a pool! He wasn't too sure about it at first...but warmed up to the idea once he realized it was just like a gigantic bathtub! I think we have the next Micheal Phelps on our hands!
OK...I'm ready for the pool!
No wait...don't make me do it!Not so sure...
I guess this isn't so bad...Yep...this is the life!

My how things have changed!

Hello friends and family! I've decided to start a blog in order to keep in touch with everyone. I hope you all are doing well!

The past year has been a wonderful, scary, exciting, and tiring ride! A quick recap: I graduated from college, started a new job, found out I was pregnant, started another new job, and eventually had a beautiful baby boy....all the while with a supportive..and frightened husband by my side... dealing with his own job transitions! WOW! God loves to keep us on our toes!

On May 23rd 2008, Aiston Ryne Graham entered this world with wide eyes and a curious mind. With the birth going so well and after being blessed with such a wonderful, almost painless labor, I thought what came next would be a breeze.....HAH! Since day one he has kept us busy! Getting through those first few weeks was the toughest thing I've ever done. I never realized how important sleep was to the human body! Each day has gotten better and we have all gotten to know and love each other very much.

Ace is getting so big..and looks like his dad more and more each day. He has been such a blessing to our family and we are so excited to be his parents. I could not have imagined the changes that would come with being a parent. We find ourselves driving slower, eating quicker, sleeping less, and smiling more. It is so fun watching Aiston grow and seeing his personality shine through. He started smiling and recognizing our voices about a month ago...and now is grasping things with his hands and putting anything he can in his mouth! He loves his bouncy chair and has extensive conversations with the plastic monkey on it ;). He is finally sleeping through the night...praise God! Everyday he seems more curious. Today I let him taste my peach and he made some great faces. I think he couldn't decide if he liked it...but he watched ME eat it with such intent eyes.

Eric and I are both back to work, and it is going very well. Meri, the lady that takes care of Ace in her home is wonderful. We are very blessed to have such great care for him. It is hard leaving him for an entire day...but it is such a sweet reunion when we pick him up in the evenings. I am also working 2 days from home, so I get to hang out with him during the week...which is soo nice! We are all adjusting pretty well to the new routine.

Before we went back to work we took a road trip to Ohio for one of my best friend's wedding. It was a long trip with a 2.5 month old...but it was so great to see all the family and friends. Ace did pretty well considering we dragged him across country! Note to self...never do that again with a baby!
